Can I upload a third-party contract to TermScout when the third-party contract itself is confidential information of the third party?
It is usually okay to upload third-party contracts to TermScout as long as you keep the contract set to "private".
Most confidentiality provisions allow recipients to share confidential information with their teams and service providers as long as such parties are also bound by confidentiality provisions and agree to protect the confidentiality of the information. Since TermScout is a service provider helping its users assess their contracts under a promise of confidentiality, it is usually okay to upload contracts to TermScout as long as you keep the contract set to “private”. All contracts uploaded default to “private”, meaning no account other than yours has access to it.
