To earn a TermScout Badge, a contract undergoes thorough analysis by both AI and experienced contract professionals. Each of the 750+ structured data points is evaluated, and every clause is rated as Vendor Favorable, Customer Favorable, or Balanced. These individual ratings are then aggregated using TermScout’s proprietary scoring algorithm to determine the overall contract rating. Contracts that score either Balanced or Customer Favorable—and are free of any dealbreaker clauses—are eligible for certification and awarded a TermScout Badge.
